What is Ayurveda Psychotherapy
Healing Emotions Through Ancient Wisdom & Modern Insight And Finding Your Dharma
Ayurveda Psychotherapy is a soul-centered approach to emotional and mental well-being, rooted in the timeless teachings of Ayurveda and adapted for modern life.
Instead of only managing symptoms, it gently addresses the root cause of inner disconnection — bringing your mind, body, emotions, and nervous system back into balance.
What Is Ayurveda Psychotherapy?
How Is It Different From Traditional Psychotherapy?
Ayurveda Psychotherapy goes deeper than cognitive or talk therapy alone. It recognizes:
That every emotional experience has a physical echo
That our thoughts are shaped by the gunas: clarity (sattva), agitation (rajas), and heaviness (tamas)
That our emotional tendencies are influenced by our doshic constitution:
Vata: fear, anxiety, overthinking
Pitta: anger, control, self-criticism
Kapha: sadness, lethargy, resistance to change
Ayurveda doesn’t pathologize — it personalizes.
It offers tools to reset your nervous system, digest unprocessed emotion, and build a daily life that supports clarity, joy, and self-trust.
Emotional health is not a disorder, but a call to realignment and finding your Dharma

In Ayurveda and Yoga philosophy, the fire of life — Agni — resides in the gut.
When the gut is disturbed, it weakens Agni, disrupting not only digestion but also the deeper nourishment of the body’s tissues (Dhatus) and the stability of the mind.
A weakened Agni affects how nutrients are assimilated, ultimately influencing every layer of our physical, emotional, and spiritual well-being.
When this vital connection is lost, "listening to your gut feeling" — your inner guidance — becomes difficult or even impossible.
This is why healthy digestion and mindful eating are considered sacred foundations in Ayurveda. -
